Alex Archive is an encyclopedia website that aims to document the history of Alexandria city, including historical sights, important events, interviews with inhabitants, and cultural heritage. When working on the brand, we needed to understand the essence of the city first in order to reflect it in a memorable and relatable visual identity.

When we started the design process, our first inspiration was the contents of the encyclopedia categorization into sights, culture, and history.

Then, we tried to link that to the brand essence of being a documentary movement that needs a strong digital presence. That's why we worked on creating a graphic language through which we can align all the visual elements and guarantee dynamic identity creation.
